Ingredients

  • 1 kg mince pork
  • 1 small bunch of parsley, washed well
  • 2 big ripe tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 4 garlic gloves
  • 2 onions
  • 3 tbsps strained yogurt
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sea salt
  • 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 3 tsp Ground cumin
  • 16 medium sized Whole wheat pitta bread

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180*C
  2. Place the tomatoes, onions, garlic gloves and persley in a food processor and blend until well combined
  3. In a large bowl add the minced meat,processed vegetables, yogurt and seasonings. Mix well
  4. Cut each pitta bread in half and spread butter, then place a layer of the pork mix, on the top of each pitta and bake for about 20 minutes at 180*C, until the base is crispy and pork is cooked through
  5. Serve with greek style yogurt
